Megan Kek received her PhD in education from The University of Adelaide, Australia in 2007. She is currently a senior lecturer in learning and teaching enhancement with the Learning and Teaching Support unit at the University of Southern Queensland. Megan is the recipient of institutional and national awards in excellence for teaching and curriculum innovation in Singapore. Her research interests are educational environments, approaches to learning and teaching, problem-based learning, and use of student data. Her research projects are funded by international and institutional bodies such as the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and University of Southern Queensland. She is a reviewer for a range of national and international journals including Studies in Higher Education, Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education, Learning Environments Research, Higher Education and Asia Pacific Journal of Teacher Education. She has worked in various aspects of tertiary education as lecturer, department head, manager, curriculum designer, and evaluation designer in Singapore and Australia. Her experience extends to educational consulting and training in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. |
