Political leadership

August 2003 - August 2004: Convenor (CEO ) Queensland Greens Inc.

As CEO, along with the other 3 members of the executive, I had significant statutory and legal responsibilities on behalf of the Queensland Greens, which as well as being a registered political party is an environmental and social justice organisation which at that time had bout 1000 members, a turnover of about $300,000 and a high media profile.

As Convenor my responsibilities included organisation and chairing state council meetings (of 50 and more delegates) and management committee meetings to achieve consensus outcomes; liasing with members; overseeing local, state, and national election campaigns; initiation of training and induction for members; managing organisational review and strategic planning processes; and initiating and editing an e-newsletter for members.

Between 2003 & 2006 I also played a leading role in the development of Australian Greens national energy and environment policy.
