Profile information
Dr Nona Press has been working in the tertiary sector for nearly three decades. The majority of her professional life in higher education has been focused on promoting and supporting the effective design of curricula and the use of educational technologies in learning.
Nona is passionate about identifying pedagogies that enhance the quality of the student learning experience. In doing so, her research agenda incorporates collaboration with teaching staff to better understand the characteristics of pedagogies and learning and teaching approaches that work well and not so well for student learning. Her experiences in this context inform her work on the conceptualisation of professional learning and development initiatives for academic staff at USQ in their role as a university teacher.
